この世界について | About This World

この世界は、StudioAsahiという海外PODショップのグッズに関連したものです。

比較的どうでもいいこと（左利きとか猫舌とか）をピクトグラムで表現しようとしたアイデアがきっかけで生まれました。

手始めに左利きをピクトグラムにしようとしましたが、普通に難しいので違う方向を探すことに。紆余曲折の末、左利きや左に関する概念から生まれた「OPERATION LEFT」という不思議な組織のある世界の設定を作りました。SCPのふんわりして害の無いバージョンみたいな感じです。

その組織に関したグッズ、エピソード、イラストが、このプロジェクトの主要コンテンツとなっています。

グッズはStudioAsahi（shopify）で販売
エピソードはshopifyに掲載。（日本語版はもったいないのでTALESに掲載）
イラストはエピソードの挿絵になっていて、SNS（pinterest、instagram）でも使用

制作時のいろいろは、以下にログ（観測記録）として残しています。

This world is related to the merchandise of an overseas POD shop called StudioAsahi.

It was born from the idea of trying to represent relatively trivial things (like left-handedness or having a sensitive tongue) with pictograms.

Initially, I tried to create a pictogram for left-handedness, but it was quite difficult, so I decided to explore a different direction. After various twists and turns, I created a setting for a world with a mysterious organization called "OPERATION LEFT" that emerged from the concept of left-handedness and related ideas. It's like a softer, harmless version of SCP.

The main content of this project consists of merchandise, episodes, and illustrations related to that organization.

Merchandise is sold on StudioAsahi (Shopify)
Episodes are posted on Shopify. (The Japanese version is posted on TALES to avoid wasting it)
Illustrations are used as episode illustrations and also on social media (Pinterest, Instagram)

Various things about the production process are recorded as logs below.

OPERATION LEFTは、Minor Conditionsシリーズのプロジェクトであり、「左」を個人的な特性としてではなく、オペレーション上の概念として扱います。

これは左利きの人々を代表するものではなく、また、矯正、配慮、可視化を提唱するものでもありません。「左」の存在を、中立性を前提としたシステムの中で出現し、存続し、密かに管理されているある種の条件として提示します。

OPERATION LEFTはいかなる立場も表明しません。不均衡を是正することもなく、違いを称賛することもしません。それは単に、「左」が既に考慮に入れられた条件——処理され、制限され、あるいは認識されながらも、完全には対処されていない条件——として存在しているという感覚を露呈させるだけです。

OPELATION LEFT is a project within the Minor Conditions series that treats “left” not as a personal trait, but as an operational concept.

It does not represent left-handed individuals, nor does it advocate for correction, accommodation, or visibility.

Instead, OPERATION LEFT presents the presence of “left” as something that appears, persists, and is quietly managed within systems designed around assumed neutrality.

The project adopts the external form of an organized operation — names, symbols, layouts, and institutional graphics — without revealing its purpose, mission, or outcome.

There is no clear indication of what is being achieved, what is being prevented, or whether anything is being resolved at all.

OPERATION LEFT does not declare a position. It does not correct imbalance, nor does it celebrate difference.

It simply exposes the sense that “left” exists as a condition already taken into account — processed, constrained, or acknowledged — without ever being fully addressed.
