This Privacy Policy explains how personal information and related data are handled on https://oneoffobject.com (the “Site”).

When you submit the contact form, the Site collects your name, email address, subject, message, and technical information such as the submission time, IP address, and user agent collected by the form-processing service for spam prevention and secure operation.

This information is used to reply to inquiries, review their content, prevent harassment or misuse, and maintain necessary records. If the content of an inquiry is published, personally identifiable information will be removed or confirmation will be obtained in advance.

The Site plans to use Formspree to process contact-form submissions. Submitted information is delivered to the Site operator through Formspree’s systems.

Information related to inquiries may be retained for up to three years after the response is completed, to the extent necessary for review and the prevention of disputes.

The Site operates as a static site using Astro and Sanity and currently does not provide the WordPress comment system. The Site therefore does not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, Gravatar data, or similar information through comments.

To accept reactions to articles, the Site collects the identifier of the relevant article, an article-specific hash generated from a random anonymous identifier stored in the browser, and the time of the reaction. Names, email addresses, and comment text are not collected. IP addresses, user agents, and the raw anonymous identifier are not stored in the reactions database.

This information is used to display reaction totals, prevent duplicate reactions from the same browser, and deter misuse. Reaction records are retained while the relevant article and this feature remain available, and are deleted when they are no longer needed, such as when the article is removed or the feature is discontinued.

The Site’s delivery environment, hosting provider, and security-related services may record technical information such as IP addresses, browsers, referring pages, and access times. This information is used for stable operation, troubleshooting, protection against unauthorized access, and understanding site usage.

The Site uses browser localStorage, rather than cookies, to remember the display theme and reaction status. The selected theme and a random anonymous identifier are stored in localStorage. The anonymous identifier itself is not stored on the server; it is converted into a different hash for each article before storage.

You can delete localStorage data through your browser settings. Doing so resets the display theme and the indication that a reaction has already been submitted. External services used for embedded content, affiliate links, analytics, form processing, and spam prevention may use cookies or similar technologies. Rejecting all cookies may prevent some external content or form submissions from working correctly.

The Site uses Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare D1, and Cloudflare Turnstile for site delivery, reaction storage, and the detection of fraudulent submissions. Turnstile may process technical signals from the browser environment to distinguish human activity from automated submissions. This processing is used to protect the Site and prevent misuse, not for advertising targeting.

The Site may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics after publication. Analytics tools may use cookies or similar technologies to collect anonymous traffic data. For information about Google’s handling of data, see the Google Analytics Terms of Service and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

The Site may use Moshimo Affiliate, Amazon Associates, other affiliate programs, or advertising services. External providers may use cookies or similar technologies for advertising delivery and conversion measurement.

The Site may earn income from qualifying purchases. Questions about products or services at linked destinations should be directed to the relevant seller or provider.

The Site uses Sanity to manage body text, images, metadata, and other content. Sanity’s CDN may be used to deliver images and related assets. Simply reading the Site does not require visitors to submit their name, email address, or similar information to Sanity.

The Site manages collected information appropriately within the stated purposes of use and takes reasonable measures to prevent leakage, loss, alteration, or similar incidents. Personal information that is no longer needed is deleted or disposed of appropriately after the necessary retention period.

Except where required by law, the Site does not provide personal information to third parties without the individual’s consent. External services may nevertheless be used to the extent necessary for inquiry handling, site delivery, security, analytics, advertising, and affiliate programs.

If an individual requests disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or a similar action regarding their personal information, the Site will respond in accordance with applicable law after confirming the requester’s identity. Please use the contact form to make such a request.

Minors should obtain the consent of a parent, guardian, or other legal representative before submitting an inquiry.

The Site makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate information but does not guarantee its accuracy, currency, or safety. The Site is not liable for damage arising from the use of information published here.

When you follow a link or banner from the Site to an external website, the Site is not responsible for the information, services, or handling of personal information provided at the destination.

Copyright in text, images, video, and other works published on the Site is not waived. Unauthorized reproduction, duplication, modification, or redistribution beyond the limits of lawful quotation is prohibited.

Rights in images, videos, and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. If you believe there is a copyright, portrait-right, or similar issue, please contact the Site. The material will be reviewed and corrected or removed where necessary.

The Site may revise this Privacy Policy in response to changes in law, services used, or operating practices. Revised terms become effective when published on this page.
